  • On the WENDESDAYS we do not have class,  Students are to complete a one page (or less) summary of a political/government related article they glean from the net (RealClearPolitics.com works if you do not have a go to source). In the summary, take a position of whether or not you agree with the authors points and why/why not.

  • MAJOR EXERCISE 3 (20% of Participation Grade) – Attend and Participate in the SERV 200 Presentation Days.

 

GRADE CONSTRUCTION & SCALE at a Glance.

 

50% of the Course Grade shall be determined via PARTICIPATION/SUMMARIES as outlined above.

30% of the Course Grade shall be determined via the average of the 3 TEST scores.

20% of Your Course Grade will be determined via the Attendance of the Combined Classes w/SERV 200

  Tests are multiple choice/short answer, multi-question, written exams, scored on a 100pt/100% scale.

 

100%-94= A        93-88= A-             87-84= B+            83-80= B               79-76= B-

75-73= C+            72-70= C               69-67= C-             66-64= D+            63-62 = D

61-60= D-             Below 60= F

NOTES:

It is imperative for this course to work, that you get on the assignments and exercises as quickly as possible, giving yourself enough time to complete the tasks outside of class as instructed.

 

Major Exercise 3 is, in total, worth 20% of the participation grade. Therefore, each presentation day is worth 5%.

 

There is no “Final Exam” – Test 2 & 3 will contain review questions from the course materials to that point.
