Prerequisites |
Before
enrolling in this course, the student should be familiar with basic
touch-typing fundamentals and have some experience working in a windows
environment with a mouse. You will need access to a computer with Office 2007
and an Internet Browser. You should also be familiar with basic
Microsoft Word 2007 functions that would include creating and editing a
document; inserting graphics, tables, bullets, and numbers; using Help; and
proofreading techniques. And taken the course OIT 176 Beginning Word. |

Description |
This course is designed to introduce
you to intermediate fundamentals of Word 2007. You will learn how to create a
document with a table, chart, and watermark; generate form letters, mailing
labels, envelopes, and directories; create a professional newsletter; learn
about the speech and handwriting recognition features of Word 2007; and learn
to merge form letters to e-mail addresses using an Outlook contacts list. You will learn the
advantages of becoming a Microsoft Office Specialist. You will learn
where to find a testing center to take the certification exam. |
