| Course Description | This lecture/lab course is designed to provide students with the information and skills necessary for positive health decision-making. Students will be introduced to holistic health/wellness concepts. Content includes nutrition, diet and weight control, exercise prescription, and stress management. | ||||||||||||||||||||
| Course Objectives | 1. Acquire an understanding of
the different components and principles of fitness and wellness. 2. Comprehend the interrelationship between the different components of wellness. 3. Equip the learner with the skills, knowledge, and tools necessary to integrate wellness concepts into his/her life. 4. Articulate the benefits of incorporating healthy choices into your life. 5. Access and analyze valid health information from a variety of sources. 6. Utilize goal setting and decision-making skills to enhance health. |
