Services for Online Students
Distance learning students can take advantage of
online admission, registration, tuition and fees payment, withdrawals, academic advising, and library resources.
Are you considering taking a Kellogg Community
College online course but do not reside near one of KCC's campuses? Students residing closer to a Michigan community
college other than Kellogg Community College should consider enrolling for
online courses through
the Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative (MCCVLC).
This arrangement allows you to take KCC online courses but receive student
services from a different Michigan community college.
Please browse the links found below to get
detailed information about the kinds of services available to online (and other)
students.
Dropping or withdrawing from a course
Should circumstances arise that make it
impractical to complete the course in which you are enrolled, you are strongly
encouraged to initiate action to drop or withdraw from the course. Consequences
for not taking action could include receiving a failing grade and ineligibility for a
partial or full refund that might have otherwise been available. The start and
end dates of the course determine whether no grade and refund, a withdrawal
grade, or a failing grade is assigned when you drop or withdraw from the course.
Though faculty can elect to withdraw you from the
course for lack of participation, generally they do not. You should take this
action on your own behalf.
For more information about dropping or
withdrawing from a course, see the Registrar's
information page (scroll down to the section "The grade of W
(Withdrawal)."
You can drop or withdraw from a course using KRIS.
