Michigan Community College Virtual Learning Collaborative

The MCCVLC assists member colleges by providing numerous professional development opportunities.  By collaborating with member colleges, outside organizations, vendors, and the Michigan Virtual University, the MCCVLC offers faculty and staff members at Michigan community colleges access to a wide range of professional development options.

  • Beginner's track  This workshop includes a track for those beginning to work/teach in an online environment or who are interested on how to begin course development. 
  • Intermediate track  An intermediate track is also available for those who have an interest in learning more about teaching online and have attended the first session.

Scholarships in Distance Education

MCCVLC has continued their Training Scholarship program; faculty and staff have the opportunity to participate in advanced training or courses with a $500 Scholarship Program administered by the MCCVLC.  Requests should be made through your dean or vice president.  The president of KCC must nominate candidates for this scholarship.
