and Goals
Mission
The Learning Technologies group focuses
on the effective design of instruction and effective application of
instructional technology in teaching and learning environments.
Our group strives to increase faculty awareness of what is possible with
technology; to support faculty use of instructional technology tools; to
investigate new technologies; to foster collaboration of instructional
technology support with other academic and administrative units; and to
assess the impact and effectiveness of instructional technology.
Goals
- Ensure that faculty are aware of and
prepared to use technologies that improve teaching and learning.
- Encourage faculty to experiment with
uses of technology in teaching.
- Assist in the planning of facilities
where faculty and students can use technology appropriate for their
teaching and learning.
- Explore and investigate new
instructional technologies.
- Assess the effectiveness of instructional
technologies.
- Ensure that chosen instructional
technologies are sustainable.
