Course Description

This course is a detailed study of all human body systems.  The primary emphasis is on anatomic structures with a fundamental understanding of physiology.  It is strongly recommended that the student have completed one year of high school chemistry or CHEM 100

Course Overview

This course will help you master the terms, systems, and functions of the human body's anatomy.  It is necessary for a student to master the content of this course before moving on in education into serious medical practice.

Requirements

One year of high school biology or completion of BIOL 99 or other college-level biology course with a grade of "C" or better and an ASSET reading score of 36 or a successful completion of STSK 98.

Skills:

To be successful in this course in the on-line version, students will need to have the ability to read and interpret information from various sources. The student must be able to use a computer with written instructions and minimal support from lab aids. The student must allocate enough time to the class for reading, studying, doing the assignments, and taking quizzes.  For the typical student this will be about 15 hours a week plus transportation time for the supervised exams.

Note that there is a midsemester exam and a final exam for both the lab and the theory in this course that MUST be taken in a supervised environment on KCC's main campus at a scheduled time.

Final Exams

This course will have a comprehensive final exam covering both the lab activities and the theory covered in this course.  The final exams will be supervised and MUST BE TAKEN ON KCC's MAIN CAMPUS at the SCHEDULED TIME.
