ENTE 220 - Statics and Strengths of Materials

This course is a study of the force systems which act on an object at rest and the behavior of materials when placed under loads and restraints. Topics will include calculating centers of gravity and moments of inertia; predicting the effect of forces applied in tension, compression, shear, and torsion on riveted and welded joints; and developing bending moment diagrams for beams and columns.
